La Via opporsi Il Studio

As a young artist, I am always walking around trying to see and experience different types of art and techniques that the art world has to offer. However, where ever I go and especially, in Florence I have come to see two different types of worlds in regards to art. The first is “the street. This world consists of the different street artists selling their work to the many passers buy while making more artwork on the spot as they sit and try both to be a businessman as well as an artist. On the opposite side of the artistic spectrum, is  “The studio”. These artists are typically more students or private artists that work with dealers and galleries. As I became more acquainted with the different artists, while they do have many similarities, I noticed key differences in the atmosphere of the different styles of being an artist. The artists of the street have a unique way of painting the world around them, focusing on the figure itself rather then the specific details in regards to painting buildings and architecture, and fine detail only when painting a person. However, the studio artists, as students focus on the design fundamentals to the private artists who focus on displaying a concept in an abstraction. As an artist myself I feel that this is a very interesting aspect of the art world that is usually looked over in terms of Florence. Whether or not one is an artist themselves, when studying in the place where there was a rebirth of art I feel it is extremely important to know the repercussions of the rebirth and what it has become today. When thinking of the birthplace of the Renaissance and art, the general thought is that there is art everywhere. While this may be true, I feel that the two different words that were born and devolved over time are over looked.  In this final presentation of artists, I plan to show the similarities and the differences between both worlds of art. Each of the photos is meant to portray a different aspect of the artistic world.
